So I was checking out last week as I frequently do when I need a mental break at work. I came across the following opion article and laughed. Not to be cliche’ but I have black friends and we frequently share stories. However, the part that cracked me up the most and got my mind going, was the description of what was being served at the “black table”. Nothing here struck me as odd except for the chitterlings (don’t ask, I’ve never eaten then and I sure as he!! never will), but all of these things are on my table too. I can’t let go of the irony of the whole thing.

Many of the “black” foods and traditions are the same that many southerners enjoy and proudly celebrate today. Even the racist ones….
