A very timely example of sociology in the news related to our rather spirited discussion last week on Native Americans. No Doubt has pulled their new video in which they use ‘cowboys and Indians’ imagery after complaints about racial insensitivity.     I just read the artice that you recommended above. I realize that No Doubt hasnt put out an album in many, many years and this was a good way for people to talk about it and possibly buy it,but there are other ways to get your music heard without offending anyone.I myself dont think that they were trying to offend anyone, but when you feel the need to consult with Native American friends and the Native American studies experts at the University of California then maybe what you are doing in a video is not going to go over really well.
