As I am standing the in elevator, the door dings and another couple gets on the elevator with me. As I listen in on their conversation the guy looks at the girl and states, “You know what I hate? When black people drive in the passing lane going only 60 miles per hour paying no attention while they sit there and eat their KFC”. What!? Why would you say something like that in a confined area, not knowing me or how I feel about the situation? Just because we were all white does not mean I approve of his comment and I’m sure my facial expression made that clear. Anyone else ever heard prejudice comments in a confined area?
