The Game

Recently there is a new game that is growing rapidly in the big cities. With this game friends pick a random individual and approach them to knock them out. The goal of this game is to punch a random individual so hard that they fall to ground knocked out. The people playing this game tend to be in their teens and tend to be African American. These kids approach any random individuals. They are not necessarily white or black or Asian or any age. I recently watched on the news a kid going up to a man in his 70’s and punching him. As scary and confusing as this game that these kids have created, it is happening. It’s also targeting black people back into the category of trouble makers or dangerous.

I’ve heard that Brooklyn is charging people with a hate crime because of this because most of the victims had been Jewish

I’ve heard about this game also. It’s just terrible and embarassing to be a fellow African American, but they are targeting other African Americans as well. On CNN they are advising everyone who comes across a group of young black youths to avoid them at all costs because of this game. My advice is for African Americans to do the same. One of the kids playing this game hit a man and the man pulled out a .40 caliber gun and shot the boy twice. Fortunately for him he lived, but he is now behind bars. People were already nervous when they came across a group of young black teens, now this is more of a reason to racially profile those individuals, but when it involves your personal safety, I can’t say that I blame them. Being defensive is alot different than being offensive, as we all found out with the Trayvon Martin case.
